Xiaomi has discontinued software updates for three more old models of smartphones. This information was reported in GizmoChina's technology news.
Xiaomi is creating a separate page on its official website to publish a list of devices for which software support will be discontinued, also known as EOL (End of Life) devices. The community has already published the list on this page for these three phones.("Poco X3 and MI 10 series, including MI 10 and MI 10 Pro models.")
These three phones were released around the middle of 2020. According to the company's previous policy, these phones were supposed to receive software support for three years. So, the software support for these three phones has now ended.
Devices based on MIUI 12, which is Android 10-based, are coming to the market. These phones have received software update support up to MIUI 14 based on Android 12 over the past three years.
Poco X3 is a budget model, while MI 10 and MI 10 Pro are two flagship phones. Both of these phones use Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset.
Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 14 series in China two days ago. The company claims that this series will receive many software updates. Recently released devices from Xiaomi's 13 series, like the Xiaomi 13, will have Android support for up to four generations and will receive updates for up to 5 years of security.

Old models will no longer receive software updates. However, specific models released in 2021 will receive software support for up to 4 years, and some models released in 2023 will receive software support for up to 5 years.
Xiaomi's new policy for software updates only applies to flagship phones. Still, it also provides this feature for Samsung's mid-range and budget smartphones.
